Technical Sales Specialist, Construction Services (NOC 6221) (Calgary)

I. ABOUT US

Mishka Enterprises is a small but growing business serving Calgary and surrounding markets for over 5 years. The business offers Residential and Post Construction Cleaning, Tile Installation, Hardwood Floor Installation and Restoration, Carpet Installation, Painting, and Window and Door Installations Mishka focuses on the residential, post construction, small office and commercial market segments. Mishka Enterprises provides services in English, Russian and Ukrainian.

II. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the President, the Technical Sales and Marketing Specialist will assist in developing sales and marketing strategies to promote and grow the business. This role must work extensively with clients and technical business partners who deliver the services. This position is also responsible for developing brand awareness of current Mishka Enterprises activities.

III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with current service providers
  • Work with owner to create business publications and proposals that demonstrate our service value
  • Prepare and administer sales contracts
  • Create potential client lists for follow-up and sales
  • Promote sales to existing customers in order to increase repeat business and loyalty
  • Research new service offerings and technical improvements for the construction services market to include equipment, techniques and products
  • Measure sales efforts and track business conversion rates for each cost and effort
  • Monitor competitor behavior and market share where possible
  • Maintain excellent relationships with owner, service providers, subcontractors & public
  • Develop visual standards for businesses including logo, vehicle signage, stationary, advertisements etc.
  • Manage vendors including selected vendors from various international countries for the purpose of identifying competitive sources of signage, marketing materials, design work etc that may be marketed and sold in Canada to our targeted customers
  • Assist with other office administration as required

IV. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

V. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • University degree in business or a related field
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • 3 years of professional experience in advertising, sales and marketing
  • Microsoft word, excel, publisher, experience as well as experience in desktop publishing software such as Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign etc.
  • Creative and artistic
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

VI. FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Project and proposal budgeting preparation for approval prior to commitments
  • Support in developing professional estimates

VII. EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT

  • Deals with suppliers, vendors and occasionally potential customers in person and on the telephone
  • Communicates with employees and management

VIII. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit a desk for 2-3 hours at a time
  • Position requires computer use and attention to detail for a considerable portion of the workday

  • Location: Calgary
  • Compensation: 60,000 yearly depending on experience. Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week
