Step 1

What can you expect at the first contact with Mishka Services? A friendly agent will ask a few questions about your home and you.

  • Key information (your name, address, telephone number and email address). All this info is kept confidential.
  • The standard cleaning process is fully described on our website, however, if necessary, our agent will walk you through Mishka’s cleaning process and ask the general information about your home:
    • What is total area of the house?
    • Number of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as other rooms (for instance, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, family room, kitchen, and a laundry room etc. that need to be cleaned.
    • What is the general condition of your home?
    • What type of flooring do you have?
    • When was the last time the home was deeply cleaned?
    • Do any of the bathtubs or showers have mold, mildew or soap scum buildup?
    • Are there any stainless steel appliances?
    • How many people live in the house?
    • Do you have any pets?
    • Does anybody have any allergies?
  • We want to make sure that your home gets the attention it deserves. If needed, our agent will come to meet you at your home in order to determine how much time our team will need to complete the first clean. Again, this visit is absolutely complimentary, and there is no obligation.

You will be given your individual home cleaning price as well as the cost of ongoing service to keep you home clean, healthy and fresh (weekly, biweekly or monthly). The agent will also tell you what to expect when the cleaning team comes to your home for the first time.

Then we will schedule your initial cleaning session at the time that is convenient for you, and then secure an appointment with a credit card. If you don’t plan to be home, we will make arrangements with you about the access to your home (key, garage code, alarm, any instructions about the pets possible. If you need to cancel or reschedule the service, simply give us a 24 hour notice to avoid the late cancellation fee.

The initial cleaning always takes longer in order to bring your home up to a higher level of cleanliness than before, and addressing tough buildup like soap scum in the bathrooms, or grease in the kitchen, or dust buildup on baseboards, doors and ledges. Along with normal cleaning tasks, during the first clean we’ll be taking extra care to dust ceiling fan blades and cleaning inside of windows. This is why we will charge you an hourly rate as it would be impossible to tell how much time exactly it will take to complete the cleaning. For the ongoing service, you will be given a flat rate that will be much better than the initial cleaning fee. This because the regular cleaning will require much less time since it will be more maintenance than heavy duty scrubbing.

There is no need to “clean” before the cleaners arrive, although general picking up will let our crew to be more efficient during cleaning. No matter if you need us once for a deep clean or for regular service, we are ready to meet your needs!
